Srinagar, Mar 17 (UNI) Declaring that the International Trade Centre (ITC) coming up here will be open for traders from outside the state round the year, Union Minister of state for Commerce Jairam Ramesh said situation in the Kashmir valley has improved.
By the time the ITC will be ready in two years time, the situation in the Jammu and Kashmir will be near normal, he told mediapersons after stone laying ceremony of the ITC at saffron township of Pampore, about 12 km from here on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway.
Mr Ramesh said during the last October, a large number of buyers from different parts of the country and abroad had visited here.
He said the ITC will remain open round the year in which horticulture, handicrafts, carpets and other products will be sold.
It will serve as an International trade complex which will function throughout the year.
