Govt to expedite works on airport link roads

Hyderabad, Mar 17 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Muncipal Administration Minister K Ranga Rao today said the construction of major expressways to the new international airport at Shamshabad would be speeded up.

Replying to Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi and other AIMIM members during Question Hour, the Minister said the P V Narasimha Rao Expressway would be completed by October and the Outer Ring Road by December.

The road from Rethibowli to Arambagar junction was being widened to facilitate free flow of traffic to the airport, he added.

As many as 32 radial roads would be laid in phases, he said, adding that the Japan Bank for International Cooperation would fund construction of the four roads.
