UPA govt is committed for empowerment of weaker sections: Paswan
Madhubani, Mar 16(UNI) Union Chemical Fertiliser and Steel Minister Ram Vilas Paswan today said the United Progressive Alliance(UPA) government at the centre is committed for the empowerment of the weaker sections of the society.
Inaugrating the SAIL sponsored free health camp here at Visheshwar Singh college, Mr Paswan said the UPA government is committed to fulfill its agenda of working on progressive trends for the all round development of the country by redressing the grievances of the weaker sections of the society.
''We are equally concerned for women emancipation'', he added.
He said the UPA government has decided to undertake health insurance for 1.2 crore people living below poverty line. These people will be provided health card within three years, he said.
Senior officials from SAIL were also present on the occasion.
