Intl conference on advances in minimal access surgery concludes
New Delhi, Mar 16 (UNI) A two day conference on "recent advances in minimal access surgery" concluded here today.
A major attraction at the conference, aimed at highlighting recent advances in minimal access surgery, was live demonstration of laparoscopic colorectal surgery by Dr Stephen D Wexner of the US.
Organised by the World Association of Laproscopic Surgeons(WALS), the main objectives of this two day conference, which began at the India Habitat Centre yesterday, were highlighting various advances in minimal access surgery, recognise various laproscopic surgical and gynaecological options available for various diseases and evaluate recent minimal access surgical techniques used in surgical and gynaecological fields.
More than 200 leading medical practitioners, surgeons and gynaecologicts from India and all over the world (including the US and UK) partcicipated at the conference and shared their knowledge about recent advances in the field of Laparoscopy.
