Bangalore, Mar 16 (UNI) The BCCI Selection Committee will meet here tomorrow to select the Indian Team for the three test series against visiting South Africa.
While Selection Committee Chairman Dilip Vengsarkar was expected to arrive here tonight, the other members would arrive tomorrow morning.
It may not be an easy task for the selectors as many bowlers were dogged by injuries.
The Committee had deferred the selection on March 9 since the members wanted to scrutinise the fitness of the players in the ongoing Deodhar trophy.
Besides, the BCCI had made it mandatory for the Test players, who were off the field for over a month, to undergo a fitness test in the National Cricket Academy (NCA) here.
Team India Test captain Anil Kumble, former skippers Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly, bowlers Ajit Agarkar and Rudra Pratap Singh and Yuvraj Singh were among those, who underwent the fitness test under NCA Director (Organising) Dav Whatmore.
The Committee members were expected to witness the match between Central Zone and North Zone in the Deodhar Trophy tomorrow before sitting for selection.
