6 killed in accident near Buldhana
Nagpur, Mar 16 (UNI) Six people, including a woman and a child, were killed and two others injured in an accident near Buldhana in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, the police said today.
According to police, the mishap occurred when a van slammed head-on into an oncoming truck near village Murtifata, about 15 kilometres from Buldhana, last afternoon. Four people died on the spot, while two others succumbed to their injuries on the way to hospital, the police said.
The victims have been identified as Gajanan Dashakar (38), who was driving the van, Vinod Ingle (37), Dhiraj Singh Rajput (35), Sapna Rajput (30), Gauri Rajput (2) and Suresh Deshmukh (36), all residents of Buldhana district. They were all travelling in the van.
The driver of the truck is among those injured, police added.
