MUDA to develop two lay outs at a cost of Rs 10.46 crores
Mysore, Mar 15 (UNI) Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) today unveiled its ambitious program to form 8,000 sites in two layouts at a cost of Rs 10.46 crores besides construct 5000 houses for distribution to the economically poor, with private participation.
This was disclosed in the MUDA budget presented for 2008-09 by Commissioner Shankar at a special meeting presided over by Deputy Commissioner P Manivannan.
MUDA anticipates Rs 35.86 crore as Revenue and expenditure of Rs 35.70 crore with surplus being Rs 1.55 crore.
Priority would be given to provide additional drinking water supply, under JNNURM scheme it has program to draw water from Kubini at a cost of Rs Five crores.
Under JNNURM scheme, central government has released Rs 219 crores for ring road and MUDA has provided Rs 22 crores for improvement of roads, parks, sports complex, under ground drainage, lake and greenery.
The new sites would be formed at Ravindranath Tagore and Halithadri Nagar on the outskirts of the city.
