Mumbai, Mar 15 (UNI) The Maharashtra Government today signed seven Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with five companies that will involve a total investment of Rs 1,766 crore and provide employment to 2,566 people.
The MoUs were signed in the presence of Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh by Principal Secretary V K Jairath on behalf of the state Government and the representatives of various companies.
Tata Cummins signed three MoUs for their three projects at Phaltan in Satara district producing engines for trucks, buses, for producing diesel and gas generating sets and diesel engines.
The other four companies are paper production factory by Malu papers at Saoner in Nagpur, beverage can producing factory by Ball Packaging India at Valanju, Aurangabad, construction machinery factory by Universal Construction Machinery and Equipment at Shivare in Pune district and seamless tube producing factory by Arihant Domestic Appliances at Shirur in Pune district.
