ICC's board meet to discuss Speed's successor next week

Dubai, Mar 15 (UNI) The International Cricket Council (ICC) will meet here on March 17 and 18 to discuss various issues including the appointment of the next chief executive.

A four-member sub-committee comprising Ray Mali, David Morgan, Sharad Pawar and Creagh O'Connor, tasked with overseeing the appointment of next ICC chief, will ask the board to consider it's recommendation .

The current Chief Executive, Malcolm Speed will finish his tenure and will step down in June-July this year.

The format of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 and a forensic audit of Zimbabwe Cricket will be the other issues up for discussion.

The ICC Board will consider the format for the Cricket World Cup 2011 which will take place in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, a discussion will take place relating to issues surrounding the Indian Premier League's Twenty20 tournament as well as the rebel Indian Cricket League and the proposed Champions Twenty20 event.

The Board will also consider the independent forensic audit of Zimbabwe Cricket, carried out by accountancy firm KPMG of South Africa.
