Panaji, Mar 15 (UNI) Questioning of Fiona Mackeown, mother of slain British teenager Scarlett Eden Keeling, today at Panaji's juvenile and women police station turned into a fiasco even as she debunked Home Minister Ravi S Naik and Director General of Police B S Brar for allegedly having nexus with the drug mafia.

The Inspector General of police Kishan Kumar, however, said that she was summoned only for seeking some clarifications related to the rape and murder of her daughter and not for prosecution under the Goa Children's Act for negligence of her minor daughter.

Meanwhile, the investigating team intensified questioning the two suspects - bartender Samson D'Souza and drug peddler Placido Carvalho(both Goans)- to elicit more details on the gory episode.

Samson had allegedly drugged, raped and murdered Keeling. Placido had also colluded with him by serving her a cocktail of psychedelic drugs with alcohol before the committing the crime in the wee hours of February 18 at a shack on the Anjuna beach in North Goa.

Soon after Ms Fiona came out of the police headquarters, she stated that two male police officers, without being accompanied by a female constable or officer, arrived at her residence last night at 2205 hrs, and summoned her by a notice to appear without fail at the Special Juvenile Unit near Police Head Quarters.

''I would like you to know that this case is not just about the murder of my daughter, but also about the many such unfortunate victims, whose identities are under wraps and would be revealed after a proper investigation,'' she said.

''I had been informed that there is strong nexus between the drug mafia, Mr Ravi Naik current Home Minister of Goa and Director General of Goa Police B S Brar,'' she said.

''These people having full knowledge of the criminal activities, have done their best to protect the criminals. That has been the case with my daughter also,'' Mrs Fiona stated.

Documents confirming their awareness about the crimes were attached to this statement and the world is witness to their attempts to cover up Scarlett's murder, she added.
