Carla Gugino to star in 'Race to Witch Mountain'

Washington, Mar 15 : American actress Carla Gugino is all set to star opposite Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in Disney's remake of 1975 thriller "Escape to Witch Mountain."

The film titled 'Race to Witch Mountain' will also star actor-director Garry Marshall.

The 'Spy Kids' actress would be seen in the role of a discredited astrophysicist and UFO expert who meets up with a Las Vegas cab driver (Johnson).

He asks for her extraterrestrial expertise to help a pair of psychic siblings escape the clutches of evil men and save the human race from impending doom, reports the Hollywood Reporter.

Meanwhile Marshall would be playing a government and UFO conspiracy theorist/fringe scientist who helps them in their quest.

The shoot is set to begin this month in Los Angeles.
