Karnataka: Brain mapping test for KIMS Director

Hubli, Karnataka, Mar 15: M G Hiremath, former director of Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), will undergo a brain mapping test at Bangalore today in connection with a shootout incident at KIMS premises in January last. According to police, a team of police personnel led by ACP Pratapan had taken Dr Hiremath to Bangalore for the test March 14.

Two local Congress leaders had also undergone polygraph and brain mapping test earlier and one of them had been cleared of his involvement in the incident, police said. It has been established that some miscreants were used in the shootout in which KIMS Superintendent Shivanand Doddamani received serious bullet injuries.
