Puducherry: Trade unions stage dharna

Puducherry, Mar 14: The Puducherry State Private Industries Trade Union Co-ordination Committee, comprising AITUC, AICCTU, UTUC and HMS, today staged a dharna in front of the Office of the Settlement Officer of the Labour Department here to press their demands.

They also demanded the government to take over the private industries which were illegally closed down, ensure employment opportunities to local youths while starting new industrial units and setting up of a seperate court for the settlement of industrial disputes.
