Ahmedabad, Mar 14 (UNI) A two-day buyer-seller meet ''Tex-Fusion-2008'' will be organised here from March 25 in a bid to boost the textile business in the city.
Speaking to reporters here today, Bharat Chajjer, Convenor of the Event, said that the meet is being organised on behalf of Textile Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles, Powerloom Development and Export Promotion Council in association with Maskati Cloth Market Mahajan Ahmedabad, a 100-year-old textile association.
Mr Chajjer said this event aims to showcase extensive product range of the city to bring buyers and sellers together for mutual benefit and added that as many as 40 air conditioned domes have been erected in the new cloth market, where exhibitors from the textile industry will display their products.
Over 2,000 buyers from across the country, besides a large number from the state are expected to participate in the meet.
This will give an opportunity to both the buyers and sellers to come directly in contact with each other and will give a big boost to the trade.
The event will promote the textile products of the city, which are basically cotton and blended fabrics, for the benefit of garment manufacturers, exporters, traders, buying houses, designers, and processors besides, all sectors of the textile industry, who are sourcing the cotton and blended fabrics, Mr Chajjer said.
