Lahore, Mar 14 (UNI) After Australia postponed their scheduled tour due to security reasons, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has now invited Bangladesh for a five-match one-day series next month.
''The dates of the ODI series will be finalised within the next few days because Bangladesh is the only test-playing country which has no international commitments next month,'' PCB chairman Nasim Ashraf said.
Australia decided to postpone their tour just hours after two bomb blasts which killed at least 15 people and injured many more here on March 11.
The tour, which had been scheduled to start on March 29, had been in jeopardy due to security concerns expressed by Australian players and officials following widespread violence after the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
