Mumbai, Mar 14 (UNI) The Central Railway will operate a mega block on its suburban sections for carrying out maintainance work on Sunday, March 16.
The block will be on down harbour line between Masjid and Chunabhatti stations and on the up and down harbour line between Wadala Road and Mahim stations from 1100 hrs to 1600 hrs, a release said today.
All down harbour line services for Panvel/ Belapur/ Vashi leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) from 1039 hrs to 1557 hrs will run via main line between CST and Kurla and further diverted on down harbour line proper.
Up harbour line services to Bandra/Andheri leaving CST at 1043 hrs to 1553 hrs and up harbour line services towards CST leaving Bandra/Andheri from 1036 hrs to 1551 hrs will remain suspended.
The harbour line passengers for Bandra/Andheri are allowed to travel via main line and Western Railway on their valid card/season tickets from 1000 hrs to 1800 hrs on Sunday.
Meanwhile, there will be a mega block on up slow central line between Mulund and Matunga stations from 1000 hrs to 1530 hrs also.
Up slow line services leaving Thane station from 0954 hrs to 1527 hrs will be diverted on up fast line between Mulund and Matunga stations and will halt at Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, Kurla and Sion stations and further will be diverted on up slow line proper.
Up slow line services for Nahur, Kanjurmarg and Vidyavihar stations will not be available during the block period. The passengers can travel to these stations via Bhandup, Vikhroli and Kurla stations respectively in down direction on their valid card/season tickets during the block period, the release stated.
