New Delhi, Mar 14 (UNI) Designer Rajesh Pratap Singh's show on the third day of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week was hit by ''wardrobe malfunction'' when the shoulder strap of one of his dresses slipped off the model on the ramp.
The aqua blue cowl neck short dress was worn on the catwalk by a German model when the shoulder strap slipped off just as the model reached the centre of the ramp, causing an embarassing moment.
However, the model, retaining her composure, displayed considerable sang-froid in restoring the dress and continuing her ramp walk. She, however, held the strap for the remaining time she spent on the catwalk.
Rajesh Pratap Singh was not present during the show and is reportedly in Paris.
Industrialist and domestic buyer Sunil Sethi, who was sitting in front row, contended that the model was ''too thin as per the Indian standards to carry off the dress and so the shoulder strap slipped''.
Blaming the FDCI for mismanagement, he said that the show started late and the models were ''managing somehow.'' ''There was hooting and whistling when the show did not start on time, so obviously it was all done in haste''.
''However, it was not a malfunction but something very trivial and the poor model was being hounded the way that even Bipasha Basu was not treated,'' he added.
Today's incident came two years after the Carol Gracias' halter neck top came off while she was walking the catwalk.
