DHBVN introduces incentive scheme

Hisar, Mar 14 (UNI) To curb the power pilferage or unauthorised use of electricity, the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has decided to introduce a loss prevention incentive scheme.

DHBVN Managing Director Vijayendra Kumar while addressing the DHBVN engineers in a meeting to review operation activities of the Hisar Operation Zone of the Nigam here today, said that under the scheme, on detection of unauthorised use or theft of electricity an amount of Rs 200 would be given to each member of the raiding team immediately and nine per cent of the amount realised on final settlement of the case would be distributed among the members of the team and sub divisional and divisional officials.

Six percent of the amount realised will be given to the raiding party equally, two percent will be given to the team consisting of sub divisional officer, commercial assistance and LDC and one percent of the amount will be given to the team consisting of executive engineer, head clerk and divisional accountant, equally on account of clerkage.

The managing director said that the incentive would be distributed in cash by the concerned executive engineer. The scheme shall be applicable on raids conducted with connected or sanctioned load of more than 5 KW.

It will not be applicable to the in theft cases where information is received through the informer scheme.

The incentive scheme is effective with retrospective effect from February 15, 2007, he said.
