BJP blames Centre for rise in terrorism
Jaunpur, Mar 14 (UNI) Denouncing the Congress led-United Progressive Alliance (UPA) regime at the Centre, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today alleged that the former has utterly failed to uproot terrorism in the country, which would result in its defeat in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
''Terrorists are active in the country. People are insecure, but the Centre is turning a Nelson's eye to it,'' BJP media in charge Siddharth Shankar Singh maintained.
He said except BJP, each and every party was ''sheltering'' terrorists. It was sad that the central government is ''protecting'' December 13, 2001, Parliament attack accused Afzal Guru from being hanged.
BJP was the only party which is committed to uproot terrorism, while other parties were keeping a mum on the issue to increase their vote bank, he underlined.
In a virtual chargesheet against the UPA government, Mr Singh charged Congress has got nothing to do with the pain and sufferings of the common man. The prices of essential commodities are sky-rocketing, but the Centre is turning a deaf ear to it.
