Air warriors take off to hills on foot

Ambala, Mar 14 (UNI) A team of 12 enthusiastic air warriors of 2207 Squadron was flagged off on a ''Green'' trekking expedition today by Air Commodore Rahul Dhar, AOC Air Force Station here.

The team would be trekking in the hills near Chail in Himachal Pradesh and would would pick up litter on the trek route as part of their campaign to clean Himalayas and spread the message for a pollution- free ecosystem.

Mr Dhar said that the main aim of the trek was to promote team spirit and nurture love for nature and adventure activities amongst young air warriors.

They would also interact with students at Chail and motivate them to join the IAF and serve the country.

The team was scheduled to return on March 18.
