New Delhi, Mar 13 : Byelections to Khalilabad, Azamgarh and Meerut in Uttar Pradesh and Betul Lok Sabha Constituency in Madhya Pradesh will be held on April 12.
Byelections to four Assembly seats Kharba in West Bengal, Colonelganj and Bilgram in Uttar Pradesh and Laximpur in Orissa will also be held on the same day.
According to the Election Commission model code of conduct comes into force with immediate effect in the Districts in which whole or any part of the Parliamentary or Assembly Constituencies for which the byelections are going to be held.
The notification for these seats will be issued on March 19th and the counting will take place on the April 16th. Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) will be used in all these byelections.
