Bhopal, Mar 13 (UNI) Himanshu Sabharwal, the son of Ujjain's murdered Prof Harbhajan Singh Sabharwal, today threatened to fast unto death if the Madhya Pradesh government did not hand over the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in a week.
''Only a CBI probe can bring out the truth,'' he told journalists here while hinting that the fast might take place here. Mr Sabharwal issued an open letter to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today.
Prof Sabharwal died during violence following abrupt postponement of a students' union poll at Ujjain's Madhav College about two years back. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad office-bearers were named as accused. The Supreme Court yesterday ruled that the hearings take place at Nagpur instead of Ujjain.
