Mandi, Mar 13 (UNI) The week-long International Maha Shivratri Fair concluded here today with religious fervour and traditional fanfare.
Himachal Governor V.S Kokje declared the fair closed at the sprawling Padal Ground by rolling up the Shvratri Flag, amid the bursting of crackers to mark the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, he said fairs and festivals were reflection of rich cultural heritage and deva sanskriti of the state.
Earlier, Mr Kokje performed prayers at the temple of Madho Rai and joined the parting Shobha Yatra.
Over 200 gods and goddesses, who visited the temple town for a week left for their respective places (seates) after a warm send-off accorded to them by the mela committee members and local people who had gathered on the occasion.
