Police official held while accepting bribe
Bangalore, Mar 13 (UNI) The Lok Ayukta police today arrested a Superintendent of Police of Chamarajanagara District, while accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 for showing an official favour.
Talking to newspersons here, Karnataka Lok Ayukta Justice N Santhosh Hegde said Srikantappa had allegedly demanded money to close a case by filing 'B' report.
''The Lok Ayukta officials raided two houses of the accused, including his Chamarajanagar official residence and another in Mysore,'' he said.
The raid was led by Lok Ayukta DIG Charan Reddy.
Meanwhile, the accused was admitted to a local hospital here after he complained of high blood pressure.
