Bhopal, Mar 13 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker Ishwardas Rohani directed the state government to provide proper treatment to Independent legislator Munna Singh, who was ailing from cancer.
When the house assembled for the day Mr Singh, carrying medicines in his hands, addressed Mr Rohani that he was agitated over not getting proper treatment and he could not get injections due to high cost.
On this, the Speaker directed Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra to ensure the arrangement of treatment today itself.
Mr Rohani said to Mr Singh that his problem would stillbe sorted out if he visited him personally.
However, leader of Opposition Jamuna Devi and other members alleged that the state government was not providing any aid to the legislator.
Mr Ramlakhan Sharma (CPI-M) said that three injections of Rs 1,22,000 have to be provided to the ailing legislator today itself.
The members took their seats after the speaker's directive.
