Jaipur, Mar 13 (UNI) BJP state President Om Prakash Mathur and sitting Rajya Sabha MP Gyan Prakash Pilania will file their nomination for the March 26 Rajya Sabha election on three seats from Rajasthan here tomorow.
Mr Mathur and Mr Pilania will file their papers before the Returning Officer in the state assembly complex here.
The electoral process for the election had begun on March 8 with issuance of election notification but so far nobody has filed nominations.
While Mr Mathur has got the party ticket for the upper house for his maiden term, Mr Pilania, whose present term expires next month, is being retained by the party.
As per the present strength of the party in Rajasthan Assembly, the ruling party is in a position to win two of the three seats while Congress can win one.
Congress is yet decide on its candidate.
Last date for filing nominations is March 15, scrutiny will be done on March 17 and withdrawals can be made by March 19.
Besides Mr Pilania, term of Congress member Prabha Thakur also expires next month while one seat has already been vacated by former External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh.
