Mumbai, Mar 13 (UNI) The Cooperage Football Stadium will shine bright under lights once again when the Mahindra MFL Nite 2008 will be held here on March 19.
Conceptualised and initiated by Saran Sports, the promoters of the Mahindra Mumbai Football Leagues, the Mahindra MFL Nite is in its second year.
The Mahindra MFL Nite will also coincide with the final match of the Mahindra Mumbai Football League, between Mahindra United and Air India, which will be played under flood lights for the first time and will decide the 2008 champion of Mumbai. The winners will be presented with a cheque of Rs 2 lakh, a release issued here today said.
The Mahindra MFL Nite is one of its kind in India and was launched in 2007 to honour the outstanding players in various divisions of the MFL (Players of Championships of the 2007-08 season). It translates into a great gathering of the football community of the city, which includes all the Indian international football stars present here, all the players, coaches and managers of the division teams and the MFL administrators.
An evening of fun and entertainment will be put together to complement the display of exciting football. There will be entertainment in the form of fireworks, music, professional dancers, food stalls and spot prizes to be won for the spectators.
There will also be a lucky dip for all spectators where they can win merchandise of the Mahindra MFL, the release added.
