Panaji, Mar 13 (UNI) The Goa Government has earmarked Rs two crore for developing a sports complex at Pernem in North Goa, providing facilities for in-door games and swimming pool in view of the 2011 National Games, scheduled to be held in this tourist destination.
Disclosing this at a function at Dhargal, held to felicitate the team of girl students, who won in the state level Kabaddi tournament today, Sports Minister Manohar Agzaonkar said the government would soon introduce a new sports policy.
The policy, he said, was under preparation. It provides many incentives to sportspersons in 16 disciplines to help them build careers in sports.
