Four JPC ultras arrested in Jharkhand
Hazaribagh, Mar 13 (UNI) At least four Jharkhand Prastuti Committee (JPC) ultras were arrested from Ganeshitand forest under Muffassil police station in the district today.
Superintendent of Police Praveen Kumar Singh said acting on a tip-off, a police team rushed to the area and was engaged in a heavy exchange of fire with the ultras following which four JPC activists were arrested.
About 500 rounds were fired by both sides, Mr Singh said adding no casualty was reported.
Police recovered a carbine, four rifles, 14 live cartridges, four magazines and naxal literature from them, Mr Singh said.
