13th International Film fest from March 14
Jamshedpur, Mar 13 (UNI) The 13th Jamshedpur International Film Festival, a mega annual event, will be held here from March 14 to 26.
The film fest is being organised by the Steel city's premier cine organisation 'Celluloid Chapter' in association with Tata Steel and would be inaugurated by Keterina Vovkova, Cultural Concilor, Embassy of Czech Republic.
Renowned Bengali actor Parambrata Chattopadhya and film critic Sunetra Ghatak would also be present on the occasion, secretary of the chapter, Debashish Chakroborty said.
Altogether 65 films, including six Indian, would be screened during the festival.
Mr Chakroborty said Mira Nair's 'Namesake' would be the inaugural film of the 13-day extravaganza. The other indian films which would be screened, including Gautam Ghosh's 'Yatra', Sandip Ray's 'Kailashe Kelenkari' and Aamir Khan's 'Tare Zameen Par.
Famous film personality from Bangladesh, Tariq Masood, would be present to inaugurate a special package of Bangladeshi films.
Besides, films pertaining to passion and emotion in a human relationship would be screened.
Countries like France, Norway, Germany, Israel, Turkey, The Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Czech, Columbia, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Cuba, Mr Chakroborty informed.
