Mumbai, Mar 12 (UNI) Automaker Mitsubishi Motors opened its ''Autodrome'' showrooms at Sanpada in Navi Mumbai and Malad that would offer the company's stable of sedan cars and Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) and maintain its 40 per cent growth in sales, here today.
The opening of the showrooms is a part of the company's aggressive growth plans in India with Maharashtra, being touted as point of focus, where it now has five showrooms, out of its countrywide total of 41.
Mitsubishi also plans to add three more dealerships in Maharashtra at Nashik, Aurangabad and Pune, bringing its total to nine dealerships.
As a part of its drive to scale up the operations, the company will also launch a new car every six months for the next 2-3 years starting with the '' Outlander'' (SUVs) which will be imported as a fully built unit and not assembled in the company's Chennai's plant.
The company is registering a 40 per cent growth and annual sales of 4-5000 vehicles led by their Montero and Pajero SUVs, which has a 20 per cent share in its fast growing segment.
''We are aiming for sales of 250 units each of our Lancer, Cedia, Montero and Pajaro range per month. We plan to maintain our momentum in sales which has doubled in the last two years,'' Mitsubishi Head (Sales) Sumit Seth said.
