Nahan, Mar 12 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Milk Federation will now supply milk to its consumers in packed polythene bags only instead of selling it openly, its president Baldev Singh Bhandari said today.
Labelled ''Him Milk'', it will be available in half and one kg packages after the establishment of a modern packing plant soon, he told UNI here.
Mr Bhandari said milk chilling plant will be established at Nohradhar with a cost of Rs 8 lakh while milk processing plant will be established at Kafota with a cost of Rs 85 lakh in Sirmour district.
The milk federation has signed an MOU with State Bank of India(SBI)to provide Bank loans o milk producers in easy instalments with reducing rates of inerst,he said .
He said that MOU signed with SBI will bring white evaluation in Himachal Pradesh and improve the economic conditions of milk producers and added that NABARD has also agreed to provide loan upto Rs three lakh out of which loan of Rs one lakh will be free of interest and those who will deposit regular loan installments will be given special relief in interest.
