Haryana to probe Chautala's role in Animal Husbandry scam
Chandigarh, Mar 12 (UNI) The Haryana government has initiated an enquiry into a Rs 1.3 crore scam in the Animal Husbandry department in the state involving former Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala and the then Director of the department among others.
This was stated by Agriculture Minister H S Chatha in the Vidhan Sabha while replying to a question during the question hour.
He said a probe by the State Vigilance Bureau had been ordered into misappropriation of grabts under various centrally sponsored schemes in the Animal Husbandry department and the Bureau had been asked to complete it by June end.
Mr Chatha said the government had sought the Auditor General's permission to prosecute Mr Chautala and the the then Animal Husbandry director in this regard.
To another question, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Randeep Surjewala said another probe by the Vigilange Bureau was registered against Mr Chautala and former Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) chairman K C Bangar regarding alleged irregularities in the selectiopbn of the Haryana Civil Service (HCS) and allied services.
