190 nominations forfeited in Tripura
Agartala, Mar 12: As many as 190 candidates, including all 49 aspirants of BJP, of the total 313 contestants forfeited the candidature in the last assemly polls. Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Dr G S G Ayyangar said here today that a total of 57 nominations of Independent candidates out of 61 were forfeited, as they did not secure mandatory six percent votes.

and
Forward
Bloc
were
also
forfeited
besides,
BJP,
Dr
Ayyangar
said
and
added
all
candidates
of
JD
(U),
Lok
Janashakti
Party,
CP
(ML)
and
NCP
had
also
lost
the
candidature.
Revealing
party
wise
votes
CEO
said
that
CPI
(M)
secured
48.01
percent,
Congress
36.38
percent,
INPT
6.21
percent,
Forward
Bloc
0.16
percent,
Left
constituent
RSP
1.69
percent,
CPI
1.48
percent
in
the
tenth
assembly
