Sex workers escape from govt home in AP
Hyderabad, Mar 11 (UNI) Twenty-four commercial sex workers (CSW) escaped from the State Home at Kukatapalli Area on the city outskirts in the early hours today.
According to police, the CSWs who were rescued and brought from Mumbai recently, had been lodged in the home run by the State Government.
In the wee hours, when the watchman had gone to fetch milk, all the 24 women escaped under a cover of darkness after removing the window grill.
They were undergoing training in sewing and other hand works at the home.
Nearby police stations have been alerted and information passed on to the Railway and Bus Depot authorities to keep vigil, police said.
