Puducherry, Mar 11: Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy today left for New Delhi. The Chief Minister is expected to meet AICC President Sonia Gandhi, who had reportedly invited all Congress Chief Ministers and PCC chiefs to discuss the issue of advancing Lok Sabha elections.
Mr Rangasamy is also expected to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and apprise him of the measures taken by the state administration for tsunami relief and rehabilitation. The Chief Minister convened a meeting of the fisheries and fishermen development department yesterday and prepared a detailed document in this regard.
Joint Action Committee of Fishermen Associations President M Illango had lodged a complaint with the Prime Minister that the administration had not constructed any house for the tsunami-affected fishermen.
