New Delhi, Mar 10 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee today adjourned the House for about 50 minutes till 1315 hrs after members of the BJP and its allies trooped into the well shouting slogans against the remarks of Mr Madhusudan Mistry (Cong) on the reported attack on the CPI(M) office here yesterday.

''I condemn this attitude'' of Opposition members not allowing an MP from the principal ruling party, the Speaker said and adjourned the proceedings at 1225 hrs.

Mr Mistry demanded a ban on the RSS for the attack but his remarks about the violence in BJP ruled states were expunged by the Speaker. Mr Chatterjee also deleted similar remarks by Prof Vijay Kumar Malhotra about the crime incidents in the states ruled by the Left front.

Prof Malhotra demanded a judicial inquiry into the violence at the CPI(M) office here yesterday to scrutinise the video recordings of channels which showed that stone pelting was organised from inside the party building.

Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Mr Mohammed Salim (CPI-M) said RSS had owned responsibility for the attack in which BJP was also involved.

Prof Malhotra, who was allowed to make a statement next, said while the police, acting at the instance of the Congress and the Home Ministry which in turn had been pressured by the CPI(M), had slapped non-bailable offences against his party workers, no action had been taken on the FIR filed by the BJP. While Mr Salim said four of CPI(M) workers were injured, 15 BJP workers had been hospitalised, he said.
