I would have been a keeper if I pursued the game seriously:Shah Rukh

By Staff

Kolkata, Mar 11 (UNI) Bollywood actor and Kolkata Knight Riders's boss Shah Rukh Khan today said he would have been a wicketkeeper, had he got a chance to pursue the game seriously.

Talking to UNI, King Khan said he had been a great lover of sports from his childhood, and to be able to serve his country by serving sports was a privilege to him.

''I have grown up loving sports. It was an injury that cut short my sporting career. I am into a lot of NGOs and charities, but I feel the best way of serving the nation is to be in sports and invest in the nation's youths,'' he asserted.

''If you manage to get the inside story of the IPL, you will see that I had always wanted to take the team from Kolkata. It is because of a lot of things - heritage is one,'' he reiterated.
