Panaji, Mar 11 (UNI) Mr Eduardo Faleiro, Commissioner for NRI Affairs, Government of Goa, will inaugurate on March 13 an international conference on Quebec Studies, organised by the Department of French and Francophone Studies of Goa University.
The Conference, offering an interdisciplinary approach on cultural diversity in the era of globalisation, will be participated by sociologists, political thinkers, historians, theologians and literary personalities besides academicians.
The theme of the conference is ''Cultural Diversity-convergences and divergences''. Prof Dileep Deobagkar, Vice-Chancellor of the university will preside over the conference.
Prof A S Narang, Vice-President, Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute, Prof Patrick Chezaud, President, Universities of Grenobic and other leading academicians will address the Conference.
Academicians from the University of Louisiana (USA), University of Paris (France). Universities of Montreal and Ottawa (Canada) Jawaharlal Nehru, Dharwar, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Jaipur Universities will attend the Conference, said a release here yesterday.
