Lucknow, Mar 11: Uttar Pradesh government today made it clear in the state Assembly that a CD made public by a Dalit outfit containing some objectionable remarks on the upper caste had nothing to do with it but the SP members created a ruckus protesting the contents.

The issue was raised by the members of the Samajwadi Party, the main Opposition party, which alleged that the contents of the CD had detrimental to the society. The parliamentary affairs minister Lalji Verma informed the House that the Chief Minister Mayawati had already ordered high level inquiry into this. He tried to pacify the agitated Opposition members that the government had nothing to do with the CD and it was made public by an outfit without obtaining any permission.

It may be recalled that the contents of the CD were being shown on a private news channel claiming it was in the market in two-three states. It also said the contents were volatile and danger to social tranquility.

The matter was wound up after the assurance from the government that the appropriate action would be taken in this matter after the probe was completed.
