Noida, Uttar Pradesh, Mar 10 (UNI) Two students of the Amity University here died this evening and four others were injured when their car collided with a goods carriage in Sector 94 in Gautam Budh Nagar district.
While Rahul Tandon, hailing from Haridwar, died on the spot, his collegue Rahul Jaitley (from Faridabad) died at the hospital, said SSP A Satish Ganesh, adding that all were students of B Tech in Noida's Sector 125 Amity University.
''The accdent took place near the cremation ground in Sector 94 under Sector 39 police station at about 1600 hrs.'' Four other injured -- Raman Narula (Ghaziabad), Prateek (Jaipur), Nishant Sharma and Pratik (Delhi) -- have been admitted to the Kailash Hospital here, he informed.
Kailash Hospital CMD Dr Mahesh Sharma said the condition of two of the four admitted was serious. ''Raman Narula and Nishant Sharma are in the ICU and being kept under constant watch.'' Police said the driver of the goods carriage (Eicher Canter) has been arrested and investigations begun.
The boys were on their way to Delhi in an Alto car.
