TVS launches 125cc Flame at Rs 50,000, powered by AVL engine
Chennai, Mar 10 (UNI) Overcoming hurdles of patent infringement for its engine, TVS Motor Company today launched the 125cc 'TVS Flame' priced at Rs 50,000 and powered by a CCVTi engine developed and patented by AVL.
This comes just a few days after the Madras High Court barred the TVS from selling 'Flame'.
This time aorund the company has launched the bike with a single spark ignition system developed by AVL after it decided to do away with the use of two spark igniters, which was challenged by Bajaj Auto as its own technology.
''We have not compromised on any account and are giving the best bike with smoother riding experience and a fresh look. We are also not going to compromise with Bajaj. The court battle will go on and let the court decide the case,'' Company Chairman Thiru Venu Srinivasan said.
