Six get life imprisonment on murder charges
Patna, Mar 10 (UNI) Altogether six people were sentenced to life imprisonment by two courts in Samastipur and Jamui districts of north Bihar today.
In Samastipur, Additional District and Sessions Judge Vinodanand Jha sentenced three people to life imprisonment on charge of murdering as many people nearly three years ago. He also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of the three accused.
The three accused- Mohammad Salim, Mohammad Fantus and Ganesh Das- were found guilty of murdering truck driver Joga Singh and his two helpers after looting the vehicle on the national highway no 28 near Uriya village in this north Bihar district on August 25,2005.
In Jamui Fast Track court Judge R P Thakur also sentenced three accused to life imprisonment on charge of murdering a woman at Satgama village in June 1998.
