Seven-hour free power supply to farmers in AP
Hyderabad, Mar 10 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today directed the AP Transco to supply free power to farmers for seven hours in two phases, as promised by the government.
Dr Reddy convened an urgent meeting of the Energy Department officials on being told by the Ministers from Telangana that the farmers in a few districts were getting power supply in three phases but there were trippings in the supply.
He directed the AP Transco to take immediate measures stating that the farmers should not be put to hardships.
