Nandas, others to be produced in Patiala courts tomorrow
New Delhi, Mar 10 (UNI) Defence middleman Suresh Nanda and his son Sanjeev Nanda, along with two others, arrested by the CBI in Mumbai, would be produced in a local court tomorrow.
The CBI here said both the Nandas, along with their chartered Accountant Bipin Shah and a Deputy Director of Income Tax (Investigation) Ashutosh Verma, arrested yesterday in Mumbai would be produced at Patiala House courts here tomorrow.
''We would seek police remand for their custodial interrogation,'' the CBI said.
The Nandas were arrested by the CBI sleuths after a case against them was registered by the central agency for hatching a conspiracy to benefit them in the Rs 1000-crore controversial Barak missile deal.
The arrests, made from a famous hotel in Mumbai where the four people had assembled for discussion and negotiation as part of the conspiracy, comes a day after the CBI conducted raids on the arms dealer and his associates.
The CBI had earlier got Nanda's passport suspended by the Ministry of External Affairs.
His son, Sanjeev Nanda, was the prime accused in the BMW hit-and-run case.
