Mumbai, Mar 10 (UNI) The Maharashtra Rajya Mahanagarpalika- Nagarpalika Kamgar Karmachari Sanghthana has decided to launch an agitation in protest against abolition of Octroi from March 28.
Addressing mediapersons here today, its convenor Sharad Rao said on March 27, representatives of 22 municipal corporations will take out a rally from Azad Maidan to Mantralaya to oppose the move of the state Government to abolish Octroi.

If the Government failed to decide on the Octroi issue, all the municipal corporations across the state will go on an indefinite agiation from April 8, this year, he stated.
Mr Rao pointed out that the empowered committee of the finance ministers of all states in the country has agreed to introduce GST (Goods and Service Tax) with effect from April 1, 2010. In the GST--Schools, doctors, hospitals, amusement park and coin operated amusement machine services are also going to be covered, he added.
