CGHS employees threaten indefinite strike from tomorrow
New Delhi, Mar 10 (UNI) About 7,000 CGHS employees across the country today threatened to go on indefinite strike from tomorrow to protest against privatisation.
The employees, under the banner of the All India CGHS Employees' Association, are demanding that the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry cancel the contract of BVG India Limited employees who have replaced Group D staff in the service.
CGHS General Secretary Ram Kishan said the Association is of the view by that the future of the existing employees is jeopardised by engaging contract labour under CGHS.
''The Ministry's anti-employees attitude has forced the CGHS employees to call an indefinite strike,'' he added.
