Attack on CPI(M) headquarters 'barbaric': PMK
Chennai, Mar 10 (UNI) Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) founder-leader S Ramadoss today described as ''barbaric'' the attack on CPI(M) headquarters by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and other ''communal forces'' and urged the Union and Delhi Governments to take immediate action against the culprits.
Condemning the attack, the PMK leader, in a statement here, demanded that the Governments bring to book those involved in the incident. The Governments should also expose those who had instigated the attack, whoever they might be, and provide adequate protection to all party offices to ensure that such incidents did not recur, he added.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tamil Nadu unit President L Ganesan blamed the CPI(M) for the violent incident.
In a statement here, he said CPI(M) workers pelted stones at the RSS activists, who staged a peaceful demonstration in front of the CPI(M) headquarters to protest the murderous attack on RSS activists in Kerala, triggering violence.
