Two killed, five injured, hospital ward gutted in fire in Kashmir
Srinagar, Mar 9 (UNI) Two people were killed and five wounded and a hospital ward was destroyed in fire in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said today.
One Ghulam Mohammad Bhat died under mysterious circumstances in a saw mill at Dangerpora, Nowgam, sources said, adding the exact cause of death was not known.
In another incident, one Showkat Ahmad Bhat was hit and critically wounded by a vehicle at Ali Jan road, Soura. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
Sources said five people were injured in three different road accidents at Dehtu Mattan, Pulwama and Hyderpora. The injured were hospitalised.
Fire broke out in sub-district hospital at Beerwah in the central Kashmir district of Badga, which destroyed one ward before the fire-fighters could control the leaping flames. However, no on was injured.
