TN Revenue Officials' plea to State Govt

Tiruchirapalli, Mar 9 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Revenue Officials have appealed to the State Government to fill up the existing vacancies in the Revenue Department.

Briefing newsmen on the resolutions adopted at the association's' Tiruchirapalli District General Council meeting held here yesterday, Association State President Duke Ponraj and General Secretary K Rajkumar said the meeting also requested the government to give upgraded pay scale to all the staff of the department on par with the Secretariat staff.

The meeting also wanted necessary infrastructure provided to all Taluk offices in the State to enable the respective staff to disburse the old age pension on or before fourth of every month, to issue GO based on the agreement reached between the State Revenue Minister and the Association on various demands.

Association's Tiruchirapalli District Joint Secretary R Rangarajan said the meeting appealed to the District Collector to hold Joint Civil Council Meeting periodically in order to sort out the several problems facing by the staff and to expedite the proposed construction of a new building to house the office of the Tiruchirapalli Taluk Office.
